As a Senior FP&A Analyst you will play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business analysis.  You will implement and maintain tools and dashboards with data driven outputs and perform in depth critical financial analysis to drive decision-making and contribute to the company’s financial strategy.  Additionally, you will have a lead role in evaluating, selecting, and ultimately implementing a new forecasting tool.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in the creation of the Annual Operating Plan, interim forecasts, capital expense planning, long range planning efforts, and other adhoc modeling exercises
  • Partner with department leaders to review actual financial metrics and prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Evaluate, select, implement and maintain a new forecasting tool to enhance and streamline financial forecasting processes to produce consistent, repeatable, efficient, and high-fidelity financial forecast outputs
  • Analyze financial results and variances to provide actionable insights
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) providing data-driven recommendations for process improvements or cost efficiencies
  • Create, implement, and maintain financial models and dashboards to ensure timely sharing of financial data and insights with business leadership
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for the Board of Directors and Executive leadership
  • Work closely with departments across the organization to gather and validate financial data, analyze business performance, and support operational and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to handle large datasets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including the ability to create interactive dashboards, perform data modeling, and conduct data analysis to support business decision-making
  • Knowledge of financial statements and metrics
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting and how it applies to FP&A

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-growth technology, investment banking, software sales, or defense contracting
  • Experience implementing forecasting tools 
  • Experience with Costpoint
