We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do

  • Objective: Develop and implement an AI-driven prototype to support EU Taxonomy compliance, aiding Europe’s 2050 climate neutrality goals
  • Core Activities: Conduct expert interviews with five SAP customers from various industries, with EY’s support, to gather insights on current challenges in determining eligible Taxonomy-screening scopes
  • Prototype Development: Translate findings into a semi-automated prototype, functioning like a robo-advisor, to guide companies in dentifying Taxonomy-compliant activities
  • Required Skills: Proficiency in AI, software development, and familiarity with tools like MaxQDA for analyzing interview data and integrating findings into prototype design
  • Publication Opportunity: Potential for co-authorship in a scientific journal to share research insights, with no impact on grading

This thesis contributes to making EU Taxonomy compliance more accessible for companies, thereby promoting climate-friendly investments essential for achieving Europe’s goal of climate neutrality by 2050. By developing an AI-driven prototype, it reduces the labor-intensive, manual process of identifying Taxonomy-compliant activities, enabling smaller and more diverse companies to meet requirements more efficiently. This supports a fair transition to sustainable business practices, fostering both climate protection and the competitiveness of all companies.
