We are looking for an experienced
Senior Kubernetes Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters on both cloud and bare-metal environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across bare-metal and cloud environments.
- Scale Kubernetes clusters to handle 50,000+ pods and 2,000+ nodes efficiently.
- Customize and fine-tune Kubernetes components, including controller-manager, scheduler, and Calico CNI, to optimize performance and reliability.
- Evaluate, analyze, and present trade-offs for scaling, cost, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Work with on-premise Kubernetes platforms such as Rancher, OpenShift, and EKS Anywhere.
- Implement and optimize monitoring solutions using tools like New Relic and Prometheus.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements:
- 4-8 years of experience working with Kubernetes on both cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.
- Strong experience in large-scale Kubernetes deployments and performance tuning.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.).
- Experience with on-prem Kubernetes solutions like Rancher, OpenShift, or EKS Anywhere.
- Good to have: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Ability to assess trade-offs and make informed decisions on scaling cost-efficiency, and disaster recovery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Kubernetes Certifications (CKA) or AWS certifications.
- Experience with high-performance networking and security in Kubernetes clusters.
- Background in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Familiarity with container runtime optimizations and service meshes.
