The Role
Responsible for developing the computer vision stack and leading the transition toward a deep learning-based architecture.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy software functionality for perception-driven robotic manipulation.
- Develop algorithms, robotic software modules and libraries with responsibility for the full software engineering lifecycle: requirements, design, source code implementation, unit test, integration, and system test.
- Using existing data to train new pose detection and classification models , deploy that on HW, develop failure analysis tooling to help understand good/bad cases.
- Develop pipelines to mine data from execution bags with prediction results and develop SOP to help collect data with high quality ground truth from motion capture. Work with a cross functional team to help scale these collections.
- Support product deployment, system maintenance, and software- based as well as real-world simulations of commercial functionality.
- Support customer deployments.
- Triage issues to support the algorithms deployed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related field
- Experience or demonstrated knowledge working with perception data from LiDAR sensors and cameras in autonomous vehicle applications
- 3+ years of software development experience deploying computer vision or perception software for autonomous systems
- 3+ years of professional software development experience using C++ and Python
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $90,168.00 - $171,600.00
- Benefits include health care coverage, sick leave, parental leave, bereavement leave, paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) plan (no employer match)
