Senior Business Development Manager - Healthcare

Our compensation package
: €90,000 - €100,000 in yearly salary, €40,000 - €80,000 in equity. Additionally up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits

Your role


As a Senior Business Development Manager (Healthcare), you will play a pivotal role in building up Orbem's footprint within the healthcare sector. You will spearhead the identification, assessment, and capture of new business opportunities, leveraging your deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and your ability to build robust business models for healthcare applications.

Your day-to-day

You will be focussing on the following areas:

Strategic market development:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to inform Orbem's healthcare strategy

  • Identify and prioritize high-potential healthcare applications that align with Orbem's core competencies and leverage its unique technology platform

  • Establish a deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and growth

Business model innovation:

  • Develop innovative business models and pricing strategies to ensure the viability and profitability of new healthcare ventures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate healthcare-specific requirements into product development and service delivery

Industry engagement:

  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem, including healthcare providers, payers, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory bodies

  • Support negotiations and closing of strategic partnerships that accelerate Orbem's growth in the healthcare market 

  • Represent Orbem at industry events, conferences, and forums

Key opinion leader:

  • Share your healthcare industry expertise and business development best practices to elevate the team's capabilities and performance

Growth mindset and healthcare expertise

  • You have 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (consulting, PE, investment banking, business development) and the healthcare industry (insurance, medical practice, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare consulting, or healthcare technology companies)

  • You have the demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex market dynamics, and develop actionable plans to achieve ambitious business objectives

  • You bring in experience in identifying, evaluating, and closing new business opportunities

Effective communication

  • You possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse internal and external stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem
  • You write easily understandable company documentation (e.g. market analysis)
  • You understand complex technologies and have the ability to communicate their value proposition to potential customers in the healthcare industry, industry members and team colleagues

What makes you stand out from other candidates

  • You are fluent in German and English, with additional languages being a big plus
