Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Technical Program Manager to join our Healthcare Payer team. The ideal candidate will manage funded projects aimed at delivering cutting-edge solutions, such as building data products, data platforms, scaling AI/GenAI models and other engineering problems. This role requires a strong program management background with a focus on ensuring project deliverables are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the progress of projects, ensuring all tasks and action items are completed on time. Schedule and facilitate meetings, follow up on action items, and proactively address dependencies to keep projects on track.
- Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with internal and external teams to manage dependencies on external datasets and align project goals.
- Proactive Action: Take initiative in outlining project dependencies and sequencing tasks appropriately to ensure smooth delivery. Do not wait for each action but proactively manage and execute tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside Scrum Masters and Product Owners who are responsible for writing and tracking JIRA stories. Focus on traditional project management responsibilities rather than Scrum Master duties.
- Lead the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of Azure and Databricks based solutions, focusing on data & analytics projects that enhance operations with a keen eye on Healthcare sector.
- Drive collaboration and alignment across cross-functional teams, comprising of members including product owners, scrum masters, technical project managers, engineers, developers, enterprise architects, and functional experts.
- Utilize advanced technical expertise to document project scope, timelines, resource plans, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the deployment of Azure cloud solutions meets the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
- Navigate complex data environments, systems and stakeholders to obtain clarity & device data acquisition strategies needed for data ingestion.
- Spearhead the agile and waterfall project management processes, adapting methodologies as necessary to fit the project's needs, while maintaining a focus on data-driven decision-making and analytics.
- Proactively manage risks and issues, employing Azure analytics tools and AI capabilities to forecast potential setbacks and devise strategic mitigation plans.
- Champion the creation and maintenance of project deliverables, including Azure architecture designs, lean business cases, Gantt charts, stakeholder lists, communication plans, and financial forecasts.
- Engage in continuous learning and development of technical skills in Azure cloud services, data engineering, and analytics, to provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, encouraging team motivation, effective communication, and stakeholder management at all organizational levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Project Management Ownership: Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing projects. Recap actions, take initiative, and schedule necessary activities with minimal guidance.
- Technical Depth: Possess deed understanding in MSFT Azure and related technologies to effectively communicate and manage project requirements. Provide guidance to team, and navigate complex scenarios.
- Proactive and Initiative: Exhibit proactive behavior in reaching out, scheduling, and executing project-related actions.
- PMP Certification: Not mandatory but preferred.
- 13 to 18 years of experience in technical project management with a solid foundation in delivering Azure cloud solutions, especially in data & analytics within or closely associated with the US healthcare payer industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex project environments, managing multiple projects of significant complexity simultaneously, and achieving successful outcomes.
- Deep understanding and practical application of Agile and Waterfall methodologies within a hybrid project execution environment, tailored to Azure solutions architecture.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in managing projects within the US healthcare Payer/ Provider industry.
- Familiarity with data science models and predictive analytics.
- Understanding of SQL and data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Teams, O365, and other relevant technologies, with the ability to leverage these tools for project management and technical solution delivery.
- Experience as a Scrum Master, PMO, TPM, with strong capabilities in financial tracking, proposal building, and resource estimation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively lead teams and engage with senior executives in quarterly planning and proactive demand generation.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask across various project dimensions, ensuring the timely and within-budget delivery of Azure solutions.
