Key Responsibilities


  • Payroll Processing:
    1. Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements specific to Egypt.
    2. Review and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and tax withholdings.
    3. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
    4. Compliance and Audit:
      • Ensure compliance with Egyptian labor laws, social insurance regulations, and tax laws.
      • Assist in the preparation of payroll-related audit requests and participate in internal and external audits.
      • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
    5. Accounting Integration:
      • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payroll transactions to the general ledger.
      • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to payroll.
      • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
    6. System Management:
      • Manage payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues.
      • Implement system updates and improvements in collaboration with IT and system vendors.
    7. Reporting and Analysis:
      • Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management and finance teams.
      • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
      • Prepare and present payroll metrics and analysis to senior management.
    8. Employee Support:
      • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
      • Provide support and training to employees regarding payroll processes and self-service tools.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a strong background in accounting and audit.
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
