Overview
The Security Solutions Data Science organization is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with an understanding of data science who is eager to take on the responsibility of managing a wide variety of data science projects. The person in this role will join a team of leading edge data scientists who are not just building models, but are working to solve fraud related problems for our customers through AI as a foundation for new product offerings.
Role
The Technical Program Manager will interact with data scientists, product managers, engineers, and senior leaders across partner teams in the organization to deliver complex projects. You will define roadmap deliverables, develop execution plans, align dependencies, track progress, anticipate risks, provide escalation management, make sound trade-off decisions, and translate technical expressions into business terminology. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. You are expected to be detail-oriented, with a solid technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

As a Lead Technical Program Manager for data science, you are expected to perform the following general responsibilities:
• Primary liaison between product and data science, managing day-to-day planning and execution of data science projects through the entire engagement process, from business understanding through model deployment and monitoring
• Looked to as first point of contact for your teams or business line/service and the single source of truth for status, providing the correct information and associated data about the state of the project to the right audience at the right time with the right focus
• Build strong partnerships with product and technology teams and align ensure alignment with data science efforts
• Translate technical approaches and outcomes into business language
• Understands the business strategy and design approaches within product, program, or domain with depth to be credible and influential with teams they work with
• Clearly articulate scope, timelines, dependencies, owners, actions, risks, and mitigations. Report progress to teams and senior leadership in regular cadence, potentially representing segments of or the entire program
• Work with data scientists and engineering teams to build/improve ways of working and identify and mitigate risks or issues that may impact the plan
• Conducts meaningful retrospectives, creates action plans to implement changes at the team level

• Experience with project management, operating autonomously across multiple teams, with demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
• Demonstrated experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning, and building
• Help product, data science and engineering teams make trade-off decisions by considering all data including business goals, technical platform strategy, customer experience and maintainability. Identify blocking issues and manage their resolution
• Proven track record of data-driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams
• Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of the individuals you work with across the organization
• Excellent organization, interpersonal, administrative and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Capable of working independently but with a collaborative nature.
• Ability to navigate a matrix organization.
