About the Team

Our team develops and delivers Peakon Employee Voice, which is Workday's platform for employee listening.

About the Role

We are looking for someone to join our Commercial Data Science team that sits within the broader product team. This team works with both the product team and our customers to help ensure customers are deriving maximum value from their data.

The perfect candidate will have a background in a quantitative or technical field, will have experience working with large data sets, and will ideally have some experience in enabling data-driven decision making. You are focused on results, a self-starter, and have a keen interest in using analytics to drive the understanding, growth, and success of a product. This full time position is based in Dublin.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to support our customers in maximising the impact of their data 

  • Support customer facing teams (i.e. Customer success, Customer Support) in servicing technical customer data queries that require Data Science support

  • Support quantitative analysis projects from start to finish, including all aspects of data analysis ad insight presentations to customers (e.g. processing, cleaning, verifying the integrity of data used for analysis, statistical analysis, visualizations and presentations)

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities as part of ongoing R&D

  • Work alongside your workmates to design and complete research and Thought Leadership that can have a positive impact on Peakon's commercial aspirations

We look for people who have a strong desire to solve complex problems and develop new solutions, often involving collaboration with different teams across the company. Vital skills include competence with Python, SQL and data science. 

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions) with an Undergrad,  Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or another technical field

  • Practical understanding of SQL

  • Intermediate knowledge of Python or R

Other Qualifications
 

  • Experience communicating data insights to customers
