Data Scientist

As a data Scientist, you will be part of a team responsible for building and machine learning products for client-facing platforms

The impact you'll make:

  • You will develop quantitative models and data products to address critical business challenges using predictive and prescriptive techniques.
  • You will translate business needs into mathematical solutions, collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
  • You will implement and deploy machine learning (ML) and optimization algorithms at scale within digital tools in production.
  • You will integrate ML algorithms with databases, APIs, and user interfaces to ensure seamless operation in production environments.
  • You will build and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics from live, historical, and predictive data to support informed decision-making.
  • You will source and ensure the integrity of data from multiple systems to generate insights for digital tools.
  • You will deepen your understanding of complex business processes to create effective digital solutions aligned with business goals.
  • You will manage a portfolio of tasks within an agile team, focusing on timely, impactful project delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • You will communicate insights and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You will embrace continuous learning in data science and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

What you'll bring to us:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience as a data scientists applying analytics, data science or operational research skills at scale
  • Technical expertise in analytical tools, modeling, SQL, Python (required), and other programming languages (preferred).
  • Numerate degree with large amount of the content covering data science, advanced analytics and/or operational research
  • Advanced analytical skills in data science, analytics, and Operational Research, with expertise in applying modeling techniques and tools like SQL and Python.
  • Strong ability to define business problems, scope analysis, and identify key stakeholders for delivering targeted insights.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of presenting complex issues, highlighting key insights, and guiding decision-makers.
  • Effective project management, independently handling multiple projects from start to finish, prioritizing work to meet business needs.
  • Team-oriented, proactively sharing knowledge, receptive to feedback, and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Location:

Hybrid model at the office located in Hayes (West London)

Frequency: The employee must be available for up to 20-25% office presence (2-3 days per week), based on client needs.
