As the strategy lead for Corporate Functions, you will use data and AI to drive operational excellence for our finance, legal, and human resource, and marketing teams. 

The Data & AI (D&AI) team plays a crucial role enabling informed decision making by bringing better visibility to business leaders and transforming operations by leveraging vast stores of data to make better and more automated decisions. The team oversees data lifecycle management, designs and executes data solutions to improve business visibility, and conducts advanced analytics to enable the business to operate more efficiently and effectively. We are a team of data analysts, data product owners, data engineers, data scientists, and most importantly, data-driven business leaders. As the Lead of D&AI Strategy and Operations for Corporate Functions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Guardian Life by driving data-driven decision making and operational excellence across corporate functions. Example projects may include utilizing ML/AI to predict customer complaints, building the finance organization’s data model and data architecture, or sourcing new tools for marketing content generation. This role reports to the Head of Data & AI Strategy and Operations and will work with Data & AI team members (e.g., data scientists) and corporate function leads (e.g., HR,Finance). Successful candidates possess strong consultative and organizational skills, demonstrate deep analytical thinking, adapt quickly, and effectively manage complex, cross-functional programs.

You Will: 

  • Develop and implement data & AI strategy to optimize operational processes with corporate functions.
  • Create robust business cases, focusing on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, balancing forming alliances and driving results.
  • Manage specific product launches, from ideation to launch.
  • Implement transformative initiatives and manage specific product launches, utilizing data & AI.
  • Analyze and solve problems with a keen eye for data-driven approaches.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of business strategy experience, management consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with superb attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior executives.
  • Track record of leading strategic initiatives and driving business transformation using data & AI (preferred).
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
  • Preferred: Direct work experience with corporate functions (finance, marketing, HR, legal).

Location & Travel: 

  • New York City (strongly preferred), Boston, or Bethlehem, PA 
  • 3+ days in office Onsite
     

Salary Range:

$116,350.00 - $191,155.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
