This role is pivotal in shaping our AI governance framework, advising on ethical and regulatory implications, and guiding strategic decisions related to AI adoption and deployment.
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial markets, a proven ability to communicate complex technological concepts to diverse audiences, and a track record of influencing strategic decisions at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the organization’s AI ethics and risk management framework in alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Provide strategic guidance on the adoption and deployment of AI technologies across the organization.
- Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses of AI systems, with a focus on fairness, transparency, accountability, and security.
- Advise senior leadership and C-level executives on AI-related opportunities and risks.
- Represent the organization in public forums, conferences, and industry working groups on AI ethics and strategy.
- Translate complex AI and data science concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and emerging trends in AI governance and financial technology.
- Collaborate with internal teams including legal, compliance, risk, and IT to ensure responsible AI integration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Ethics, Law, Finance, or related disciplines).
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a role focused on AI ethics, risk, or strategy.
- Demonstrated experience advising organizations on strategic decisions involving emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, infrastructures, and regulatory environments.
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, with experience addressing C-level audiences.
- Proven ability to simplify and communicate complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within or advising Financial Market Infrastructures, central banks, or regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with international AI governance frameworks and standards (e.g., EU AI Act, OECD AI Principles).
- Certification in risk management, ethics, or AI governance is an asset.
