We are developing a smart, AI-powered environment that can generate tailored Development Action Plans and Learning Journeys for engineers and architects. The system will analyze individual profiles—interests, strengths, ambitions, and learning needs—and generate a personalized “menu card” of learning options.

Your assignment

You’ll contribute to building a scalable and practical solution that:

• Reads and interprets the content of all available learning modules and trainings.
• Outputs a unified, selectable learning “menu card” tailored to individual profiles.
• Allows users to customize their learning journey while benefiting from AI recommendations.

To empower every engineer and architect at ASML with a personalized, AI-generated learning plan that evolves with their career path—while keeping the experience simple, intuitive, and effective.

Internship Assignments (Choose Your Focus Area)

We offer multiple internship tracks depending on your background and interests:

• Framework Developer: Design the base IT or algorithmic framework to support AI-driven learning journeys. Align with ASML’s internal AI standards.
• System Integrator: Explore and integrate existing platforms (LXP, MyLearning, SharePoint, etc.) to support the learning menu card generation.
• AI Trainer: Feed the model with real-world input, test its accuracy, and refine its recommendations.
• Demo & Release Engineer: Prepare a working prototype and demonstrate its capabilities to stakeholders.
• Model Refiner: Expand the model’s capabilities by integrating more learning modules and improving its intelligence.

This is a bachelor's/master's level internship lasting for minimum 5 months, starting in September 2025.
 

Your profile

To be a good fit for this internship, ideally you are:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• Interested in learning systems, personalization, and AI applications.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Other requirements you need to meet

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
