Group Central Compliance and Strategy is responsible for the building up of advanced analytics capabilities for Compliance in Erste Group. In addition, the department acts as bridge function between compliance functions (AML, Sanctions, Fraud Prevention, Securities Compliance, Conduct Compliance) and Erste Group’s subsidiary banks.

Your Tasks

• Collaborate with compliance and business units to identify and address financial crime patterns on the basis of data analytics you performed
• Support in transforming these patterns into AI/machine learning based detection models in the area of financial crime aiming at improving risk detection and efficiency
• Assist in the deployment, monitoring and the recalibration of detection models in production to assure a constantly high service quality 
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of adequate data models as basis for ongoing insights generation

Your Background

• Ongoing studies at a University or University of Applied Sciences with a quantitative focus
• Good understanding of common machine learning approaches (supervised, unsupervised, NLP, deep learning, etc.) and algorithms
• Strong knowledge of major tools used in the data science field such as Python, SQL, PySpark, Big data ecosystem 
• Full professional proficiency in English
