Job summary:

As our Commercial Sales Manager, EMEA at AutogenAI, you will lead and inspire a dynamic team of Account Executives, driving success within the Commercial Sales segment. This role is pivotal to achieving our growth ambitions, as you’ll empower your team through exceptional coaching, development, and strategic leadership. With a focus on operational excellence and cultivating a high-performance sales culture, you’ll play a key role in shaping a critical revenue-driving function within a rapidly scaling company.  

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, develop and lead a high-performing team of Commercial Account Executives, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a winning mindset for optimal performance. 
  • Performance Enablement: Drive continuous improvement through personalised coaching, actionable feedback, and tailored development programs. 
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies that maximize productivity and deliver consistent results against ambitious growth targets. 
  • Pipeline Optimisation: Support team members in creating, managing, and progressing a high-quality pipeline, ensuring alignment with sales processes and goals. 
  • Operational Excellence: Establish scalable processes and best practices that drive efficiency, predictability, and sustainable success. 
  • Collaboration: Partner closely and provide close feedback loops with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment across the sales journey, from prospecting to customer retention. 
  • Revenue Leadership: Take ownership of the Commercial Sales team’s performance, delivering measurable contributions to company-wide revenue objectives. 

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Proven Leadership: A history of building and leading successful sales teams, ideally within a SaaS or tech environment. 
  • Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of sales cycles, with a demonstrated ability to drive results in Commercial / SME segments. 
  • Coaching Excellence: A passion for mentoring and developing sales professionals, unlocking their potential to achieve and exceed goals. 
  • Strategic Focus: Ability to align team efforts with broader company objectives, driving both short-term wins and long-term growth. 
  • Analytical Insight: Strong data literacy, with the ability to use metrics and insights to inform decisions and refine strategies. 
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of inspiring confidence across all levels of an organisation. 
  • Agility: Comfortable navigating and thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, managing Commercial or SME teams. 
  • Track Record: Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on individual and team performance, and a proven track record of developing early career AE’s to success.  
  • CRM Expertise: Proficiency in sales tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Salesloft and other comparable platforms. 
  • Sales Methodology: Familiarity with frameworks such as MEDDICC and Challenger selling. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scaling Expertise: Experience building sales functions in a rapidly growing organisation. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of professional services, construction, or manufacturing sectors. 
  • Innovation: Experience implementing new tools, processes, or strategies that drive team success.
