CI/CD – Dev SEC Ops Architect Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and skilled candidate to join a forward-looking Development and Operations (DevOps) team. The Dev Ops team defines, develops, integrates, and deploys enhancements to complex Under-Sea Warfare (USW) systems at our customer location in Manassas, VA. The DevOps team helps to establish, maintain, and implement processes required to produce the systems critical to our customers' mission successes. In this role, you support a greater team of hundreds of developers, and engineers that depend on the performance and reliability of the work environment and resources provided by the DevOps team.  

CI/CD – Dev SEC Ops Architect Engineer Required Skills:

  • Design, create, automate, and accelerate builds pipeline.
  • Responsible for speeding up the process from code to kit as well as providing additional utility to development teams to catch errors earlier, and with less impact on the build schedule.
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Design and maintain build systems for multiple languages and/or components. 
  • Software development in Linux environment (RHEL) with shell scripting.
  • Apply experience with Virtualization (KVM/Openstack) in Agile Development environment (Jira/Confluence).
  • Apply Static Code Analysis experience in developing more effective builds process.
  • Utilize source code management toolsets (GIT/Artifactory).
  • Design and maintain build systems for multiple languages and/or components.
  • Apply containerization experience for builds and deployments.
  • Visionary software development mindset to help move us forward on our DevOps processes.
  • Expertise with agile concepts and supporting tools for an agile framework.
  • Experience in software development (C, C++, and Java).
  • Experience configuring, building, installing, and troubleshooting system builds of source software and COTS/FOSS products.
  • Proficient with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
  • Ability to author and maintain complex scripts using Python, Bash and/or other scripting languages.
  • Proficient with DevOps tools such as Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Chef, Tomcat.
  • Proficient with application, operation, and maintenance of Docker, KVM, and Open vSwitch. 

CI/CD -Dev SEC Ops Architect Engineer Desired Skills:

  • Experience in defining system architecture and implementing distributed computing environments.
  • Proficiency with NetApp, cloud architecture, network architecture and protocols.
  • Experience with Cyber Security (Information Assurance) principles and operations.
  • Attention to detail, process compliance, and ability to function as a part of a larger effort are crucial.
  • Deadline driven and focused on contract deliverables, accepts demanding tasks while remaining flexible to work in an environment of changing priorities and direction.
  • Team player, task driven, and proactive self-starter that fosters team success.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

 

CI/CD - Dev SEC Ops Architect Engineer Additional Requirements:

  • Three or more year’s current experience in a CI/CD or Dev SEC Ops role (7-10 years of experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.

Job: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week
