The department that will welcome you is Talent Acquisition. Our team is responsible for end-to-end recruitment activities, including Talent Marketing and Early Careers. Our international and motivated team is operating from a centralized location in the south part of The Netherlands, and is providing services for the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India region. Our purpose is to attract the best talent for our organization to enable business success.

We are looking for you, an ambitious Bachelor or master student, to support our Talent Acquisition team by doing an internship project in how AI can optimize our current recruitment practices for our location in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.

Project description

Artificial Intelligence: As part of this internship project, you will be responsible for implementing set of recommendations that Dow can use to improve the current recruitment practices within our region. The recommendations came out of the earlier research conducted in 2024. And you will focus on a top 3 solutions with a high Return on investment and in alignment with the Discipline priorities. Specific activities and skills you would need to consider are vendor evaluation and communication, vendor management, strategic business case creation, stakeholder management, presentation skills and budget calculation.

You will be closely collaborating with different recruiters and Talent Acquisition Subject Matter Experts, and you’ll get to partner with multiple stakeholders inside and outside of the HR organization. Including the TA Global Experience Leader, TA CoE and the HR IT Specialist. Plus, you will get the opportunity to learn more about our current and future HR tools, integration and implementation opportunities (technical skills) and you will get exposure to the Purchasing processes.

Run the business (RTB): In this internship you will also get exposed to daily run-the-business activities in Talent Sourcing and Talent Marketing. Activities such as direct sourcing, LinkedIn searches, Reporting and Analytics, Vendor management, sourcing and talent marketing strategy rollouts can be considered as your scope. You will act as a support for both Talent Marketing as the recruiters and you will assist in their needs to attract and hire the right talent for our company. Attending at minimum 1 event during your internship to brand Dow as an employer of choice would be desired.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a set of AI recommendations based on the earlier research conducted in 2024, that present high return on investment value and are aligned with the discipline priorities.
  • Evaluation and communication with vendors, managing vendor relationship, while presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Collaboration with Talent Acquistion Subject Matter Experts to reach internship goals.
  • You will be able to pitch your recommendations and convince stakeholders to make time or financial investments with great returns.
  • You will be supporting implementing a set of your own approved recommendations.
  • Support Talent Sourcing and Talent Marketing Run-the-Business activities to attract the right talent for the company

Qualifications

  • You are currently studying for a Human Resource Management degree or equivalent in Psychology or Business administration.
  • You have a good working knowledge of English.
  • You are keen on identifying and driving technical improvement opportunities in the Talent Acquistion space and overall.
  • You are hands-on, eager to learn and a good listener. You are having good analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

  • You can communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • You are organized and pro-active
  • You have advanced Microsoft office skills (MS Teams, Excel, and Word)
  • And you collaborate well in a team well as independent
  • Experience with AI and its application in the Talent Acquistion space,
  • Business case creation skills, and project management skills

You can start as of December 2024, for a period of 3 - 6 months (exact timing to be discussed).
