About the role:

In the Products department, we frequently undertake projects of varying sizes that span across our tribes. As a Feature Lead/Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and coordinating these projects. We expect a high level of maturity and experience in project and program management. Our department is growing rapidly, currently boasting over 1,300 people and 150+ teams.

As a Feature Lead, your primary responsibility will be to secure commitments for the timely delivery of features and functionalities across various tribes, working closely with Product Managers and Owners. This role is specifically focused on integrating Artificial Intelligence into our processes. We are enhancing AI usage within our teams and products to boost productivity. To achieve this, we are launching both small and large initiatives internally and in collaboration with vendors. We seek someone with an independent mindset who can initiate and complete projects while minimizing issues.

While we are not looking for an AI specialist, we need someone with a solid understanding of AI opportunities and the AI landscape, coupled with strong organizational skills.

It’s important to note that we operate in an agile environment. Part of your role will involve breaking down requirements in an agile setting. A deep understanding of the Agile mindset and various agile frameworks, and how to function as a cross-tribe feature lead, is crucial.

The Feature Lead will play a key role in cross-tribe communication and alignment. This involves developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders, both up and down the hierarchy, and ensuring timely ceremonies, communication, and alignment.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Build expertise with a focus on AI: Show curiosity and eagerness to stay close to trends and innovations, and develop and share this expertise.
  • Navigate the AI developer journey: Assess the department’s situation, fundamental needs, and wishes, even in unstructured contexts, to add value.
  • Collaborate effectively without boundaries: Work seamlessly across teams, countries, languages, and tools, leveraging your expertise, confidence, and style to connect with colleagues, customers, and your network.

Which tasks can you expect?

  •  Enhancement of AI Processes and Tools: Contribute to the AI Readiness function by continually reviewing, challenging, and enhancing AI-related processes, tools, and governance controls. Ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Project Coordination and Delivery: Organize and coordinate projects of varying sizes across different tribes, ensuring timely delivery of features and functionalities. Secure commitments from stakeholders and manage project timelines effectively.
  • AI Integration and Innovation: Lead initiatives to integrate Artificial Intelligence into processes and products, driving productivity improvements. Stay informed about AI trends and innovations, and collaborate with vendors to implement AI solutions.
  • Expertise Development and Collaboration: Build and share expertise in AI, demonstrating curiosity and eagerness to stay updated with trends. Collaborate seamlessly across teams, countries, and languages, leveraging your skills to connect with colleagues, customers, and your network.
  • Contribute to the wider Centre of Expertise PMO function by leading Internal or external projects/ activities of varying sizes and complexities, working either as the principal point of contact / Project Manager or with a Project / Programme Manager to ensure all milestones are met within time, quality and budgetary constraints.
  • Proved leadership internally by championing continuous improvement and externally by understanding both our business and the customer experience.

    and interpret dependencies between backlogs 
  • Confident and skilled at identifying and mitigating issues.
  • Able to work independently (self-starter) managing many
    stakeholders 
  • Demonstrable experience of the mobilisation and execution of
    International / Cross Country Readiness Tracks for a new proposition or complex feature working with stakeholders (at all Levels, Including Tiger Teams) across the business
  • Demonstrable experience of the mobilisation of a new Domestic
    Organisational Readiness country / Partner with the processes
    being adopted in BAU. Working with stakeholders (at all Levels,
    Including Tiger Teams) across the business 
  • Demonstrable experience of managing Domestic Organisational
    Readiness of releases for New and Existing Products and
    services 
  • Management of Organisational Readiness tracks of releases for
    New and Existing Products and services
