Description
Markon is seeking an experienced AI project manager to support an Intelligence Customer.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the customer to understand their Al initiatives and provide support in aligning with their goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Al trends, technologies, and industry developments to provide informed guidance.
- Translate complex Al concepts into plain language, making them accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver presentations, whitepapers, and other content to effectively communicate Al ideas.
- Work with customers to define requirements for Al solutions that can be provided to companies for development or testing.
- Ensure requirements are clear, concise, and aligned with customer needs.
- Stay current with the latest developments in Al hardware and software, including advancements in GPU architecture, TPUs, and other Al-specific technologies.
- Engage with industry experts to share knowledge and insights on Al hardware/software, emerging technologies and capabilities.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, developers, and industry leaders.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the broader Al community, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between customers, researchers, and developers to advance Al initiatives.
- Travel to attend conferences, meetings, and other events worldwide to represent the customer and coordinate Al efforts across the community.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to identify and tackle complex challenges in Al development.
- Possess critical thinking skills to analyze data and make informed decisions about Al model design.
Qualifications
Minimum of three key Al qualifications required:
- TS/SCI with Full scope Polygraph level required.
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of experience as a systems engineer.
- Strong technical understanding of Al concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into plain language.
- Experience working with customers, developers, and researchers to define and develop Al solutions.
- Strong knowledge of current Al hardware and software developments, including industry trends and advancements.
- Ability to travel (10% of the time} and represent the customer at events worldwide.
- Strong relationship-building and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Desired:
- Experience and/or technical knowledge & insights for at least four of the following disciplines:
- Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP}
- Data Structures
- Big O notation and algorithmic efficiencies
- Transformer architectures and LLMs
- Natural Language Programing
- RAG and model fine-tuning
- Knowledge graphs and Neo4J
- Embeddings and vector Databases
- Project Management/Systems Engineering Certifications.
- Al/ML Certifications and Experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Computer Science/Engineering, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Prior Experience with the sponsor, specifically OCONUS.
- Prior experience supporting Senior Level management.
- Prior experience working across organizational boundaries to achieve mission goals.
Salary Range
USD $170,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
