Job Description

As part of the technology team, and reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will define and develop the Vention AI product roadmap. With product initiatives spanning from generative 3D design to autonomous robotics and computer vision, you and your team will be responsible to build Vention AI infrastructure and bring to market the first generation of AI products. More specifically, your role will include: 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drive technology development for Vention’s AI and Robotics Vision products, working in collaboration with other product team (i.e., Firmware, App R&D, MachineCode, MachineLogic)
• Create proof of concepts for key AI sub-systems and identify paths forward for productization.
• Maintain and improve Vention’s various machine learning models across product portfolio 
• Develop Vention’s AI infrastructure (i.e., server, data structure, edge-to-cloud data), to provide synthetic and field-based machine learning capabilities to various product initiatives
• Own the technical advancement of our AI partnerships with software, infrastructure and robot arm partners
• Partake in the Vention Technology Committee, shaping the enterprise-wide technology roadmap, beyond engineering software
• Keep up to date with the latest software, AI and robotics technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in software development
• 5+ years of experience in ML/AI projects with proven commercial use cases
• Experience with leading or overseeing a team of ML/AI developers
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, and with web development frameworks such as React
• Experience in designing responsive systems (embedded and cloud/web)
• Understanding of distributed system design and the related technical challenges
• A strong ownership of all aspects throughout the SDLC and beyond
• Strong sense of responsibility, to show ownership over full, end-to-end solutions
• Love of new challenges and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
