What the job involves

The Senior Validation Engineer will be responsible for Hayden’s overall release development strategy. This role is a combination of hands-on and strategic vision around build, test and deployment working closely with key stakeholders across the company. A successful candidate will understand the complete software/dev life cycle and have a proven track record on developing complete release engineering solutions that will have a high impact and reach across the entire organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and optimize images for various applications and services

  • Test and ensure quality of releases

  • Work with CI/CD pipelines for automation testing and deployment of releases

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient image creation and updates

  • Deployment and maintenance of software releases in fleets around the globe

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, InfluxDB, Grafana

  • Experience with large-scale software development projects and complex build configurations

  • Understanding of software testing frameworks and practices

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, in particular with github actions

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
