Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Rust Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable distributed systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust and efficient systems that meet the demands of our growing user base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain distributed systems that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to understand system requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance system scalability and reliability.
- Conduct performance testing and implement strategies to improve system performance.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of distributed systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems and processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience writing production-grade Rust applications.
- Strong background in systems architecture and design patterns for scalable, resilient applications.
- Deep knowledge of distributed system architectures, including microservices, data consistency models, and messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, MQTT).
- Strong understanding of low-level networking protocols, threading, asynchronous programming, and Rust concurrency models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ML frameworks and techniques (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, training, data/model parallelism)
- Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment and scaling.
- Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
