Aquabyte is seeking a Frontend Engineer to help continue to build and develop our UI application that enables fish farm's sustainable operations across the world. Our productWe are currently focused on helping Norwegian salmon farmers better understand their fish populations and make environmentally-sound decisions. Through custom underwater cameras, computer vision, and machine learning we are able to quantify fish weights, detect sea lice infestations, and generate optimal feeding plans in real time. Our product operates at three levels: on-site hardware for image capture, cloud pipelines for data processing, and a user-facing web application. The roleAs a Frontend Engineer at Aquabyte, you will be responsible for creating the user interface for our fish farming clients. You'll collaborate closely with the product and UX team in Norway, as well as the engineering team in the U.S., to deliver an outstanding product. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a team environment and possess a natural curiosity.
Qualification
5 years of frontend engineering experience, especially with React
Strong expertise in JavaScript, with a preference for TypeScript
Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and LESS
Has a track record to deliver high-quality software products and make continuous improvement
Experience of building application in cloud environment
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with Node.js and Express is a plus
Familiarity with JavaScript build tools such as Webpack, is a plus
Experience in databases, in writing and optimizing SQL queries
Experience in transforming data into insightful visualizations
Experience in working with an international team
