The Behavioural Modelling Team is part of Group Finance, which oversees the bank's liquidity and interest rate risks. In the role of Senior Data Scientist, you will build predictive models and apply data science techniques to forecast developments in the bank’s balance sheet. Your primary workplace will be our Vilnius office.

Depending on your experience, you may be offered a different seniority of the role.

You will:

  • Develop sophisticated predictive models and analytical tools from initial concept to final deployment using Python and SQL
  • Collaborate with end users, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate data discoveries and processes into the existing infrastructure
  • Drive improvements to the processes within the modelling area
  • Conduct independent research on potential methodologies and ensure compliance with EBA/DFSA guidelines
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in a wide range of domains
  • Share your knowledge and insights with the team and stakeholders

About you:

  • At least 2 years of experience in developing models from scratch and conducting independent research across various domains
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python and SQL
  • Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another relevant field
  • Knowledge of code automation and model deployment, with a preference for knowledge of AWS and OpenShift
  • Team-oriented and collaborative personality, while also being capable of working autonomously
  • Curious and eager to learn new concepts and ways of working
  • Thrives in delivering effective solutions for problems characterized by high uncertainty
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills
  • Expertise in Tableau would be beneficial

Monthly salary range from 3280 EUR to 4920 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
