Job Description

As a Technical Specialist within the Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) team your in-depth and practical knowledge of Data Science and Quant Engineering development, business analysis and Financial Intruments pricing combined with excellent analytical skills will allow you to play an important role in delivering the content analytics for the firm and in influencing our wider sector strategy. This role is flexible to match the skills of the successful applicant and your work is likely to split between Data Science and requirement analyses.

There are likely to be opportunities to provide Data Science support to projects that cut across key issues in the customer operation team!

  • Responsible for the analysis, construction, testing, and maintenance of software as the major component, to meet agreed business needs.

  • Participate in creation and implements unit testing and integration testing ensuring application meets requirements.

  • Provide Quant Engineering support to operations or other development teams.

  • Creates and maintains required technical documentation/manual related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse.

  • Assists with improvements to prevent problems, including problem resolution workflow.

  • Participates in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.

  • Provides timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities within projects to supervisor

  • Develops software using well-adapted software development processes, adhering to team/company standards and software guidelines, and corporate policies.

  • Works independently within some parameters, with limited technical and management guidance, taking ownership of problems within own area of knowledge.

  • Accountable for the quality of work, delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes and focused on internal and/or external customer needs.

  • Provides input into assessment and training/mentoring of junior team members, where applicable.

  • Elaborate Data Sciences and Quantitative models for Analytics content application design

Skills/Experience Required

Essential

Solid understanding of Python, R, C++ and AWS.

Analytical capabilities – able to assess, challenge and validate information (both quantitative and qualitative), and make sound judgements in a timely manner about actions or customer concern .

Strong communication skills (both written and oral) – able to distil information, communicate key messages and explain issues clearly and concisely to internal or external audiences.

Ability to influence others – capable of making a strong personal impact using reasoned argument to persuade others, able to offer constructive challenge, deliver strong messages and to respond to challenge .

Teamwork and collaboration – able to work effectively with others as part of a multi-disciplinary team in order to achieve desired outcomes as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently.

Elaborated knowledge of the Financial Maths for financial instruments pricing;
Experience in financial trading specific modelling in market like COMMODITIES, FIFXMM, Exchange Traded Derivatives, EQUITY and INDICES market.

Master of Data Science technics including ML / AI

Desirable

Project management experience, particularly using Agile methodology

Experience in Refinitiv Eikon/Elektron product.

Experience in financial trading specific modelling in ESG data
