Job Description:

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for potential clients, playing a crucial role in our sales process. Your primary responsibility will be to generate leads, qualify prospects, and set appointments for the sales team. This position is ideal for individuals who are motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about accounting technology and finance.

Location: 100% Remote role within proximity to Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential leads through various channels, including social media, industry events, and referrals.
  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct outreach to prospects via phone, email, and social media to introduce our accounting software solutions and generate interest.
  • Qualify Leads: Assess and qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure they align with our target customer profile.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team with qualified prospects to drive the sales process forward.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions and activities in our CRM system to track progress and follow up effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and share insights on lead generation and market trends.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on prospect interactions and market observations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role; experience in accounting software or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a desire to exceed targets and drive success.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial software solutions is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Hubspot, Linkedin sales navigator, Openphone and Gong.
