OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining AI tools and implementing programming solutions to enhance system efficiency and performance.
  • Responsible for involves building system to materialize and implement solutions based on ideas from the Transformation team and DDT or other stakeholder.
  • Responsible for identify improve opportunity to on – site needs and supporting activities to introduce Digital technologies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, develop, and implementation AI tools and models to improve system functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross  functional teams (DDT and Quality Transformation members) to integrates AI solutions into existing systems or as-is manually operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AI tools and programming.
  • Stay upgraded on the latest trends and advancements in AI technology to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Manage or execute defined strategic Quality transformation project.
  • Research and analyse on digital market trends to identify technological advancements opportunities.
  • Develop the novel technology introduction plan including system engineering perspective.
  • Promote the collaboration with the other function in Quality and GMSGQ organization.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Knowledge in Digital, automation are preferable.
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing new technology adoption and digital strategies.
  • Strong background in system engineering or data science.
  • Knowledge or Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Power BI), AI/RPA, TrackWise Deviation/CAPA, Change Control Management (CCM), SAP and Electronic Batch Management (EBM) systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in implementing and optimizing AI tools and algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks.

Leadership

  • Ability to lead AI projects and initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Mentorship skills to guide junior team members in AI tool adoption and best practices.
  • Strategic thinking to align AI implementations with business objectives.

Interaction

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate technical AI concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops on AI tool usage.

Innovation

  • Proven track record of innovating AI solutions to address complex business challenges.
  • Willingness to explore new AI technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop unique AI applications.

Complexity

  • Key stakeholders include but not limited to: Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, DD&T, Manufacturing Sciences, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and Health Authorities.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Full remote work is allowed.
  • Some travels will be required.
  • Fixed term contract

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary:

  • Salary Increase: Annually, Bonus Payment: Twice a year

  • Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45

  • Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
