Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Industrial Automation Project Manager to join our fast-paced industrial automation services & solutions teams.  The Catalyx Industrial Automation Project Manager oversees and coordinates the execution of projects involved with design, pre-assembly, and installation/integration of cutting-edge image-based barcode reading & package tracking electro/mechanical systems at many of the largest e-commerce fulfillment and retail distribution facilities around the country. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechatronics, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
-Project Coordination and Execution:
   -Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
   -Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
   -Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with functional managers.
-Technical Coordination:
   -Provide technical guidance and support to engineering, production, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
   -Ensure technical solutions align with project requirements and client expectations.
   -Collaborate with functional managers to review and approve technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
-Stakeholder Management:
   -Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
   -Communicate project status, issues, and risks to all relevant parties.
   -Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
-Procurement and Inventory Management:
   -Oversee the procurement of materials and components necessary for project execution.
   -Collaborate with inventory and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
   -Coordinate with suppliers and functional managers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
-Team Coordination:
   -Identify resource needs and collaborate with functional managers to allocate project team members accordingly.
   -Assist functional managers in conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to team members.
   -Coordinate team schedules, travel bookings, expense reviews, and timesheets with functional managers.
   -Quality Assurance and Compliance:
   -Ensure all projects adhere to company quality standards and industry regulations.
   -Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
   -Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes in collaboration with functional teams.
-Communication and Documentation:
   -Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans.
   -Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders.
   -Ensure proper documentation of project changes and decisions.


Requirements

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a mechatronic engineering or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
