About the role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead and oversee the delivery of complex AI-driven projects. In this role, you will manage all phases of project development, from inception to deployment, while ensuring that AI initiatives are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, AI engineers, product managers, and business leaders, to drive AI solutions that create business value and meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership & Oversight: Lead and manage end-to-end AI projects, ensuring successful delivery of AI solutions within timelines, scope, and budget. Coordinate cross-functional teams across data science, engineering, and business functions.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors, ensuring clear communication of project goals, timelines, progress, and outcomes. Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve any issues that arise.
• Scope & Risk Management: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and milestones. Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the project remains on track.
• Resource Planning & Allocation: Oversee resource planning, ensuring the right talent, tools, and technologies are available to execute AI projects. Manage workloads, priorities, and team dynamics to optimize project success.
• AI Solution Strategy: Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and business leaders to translate AI-related business needs into technical solutions. Ensure AI models and applications meet business goals and are designed with scalability, efficiency, and security in mind.
• Agile Project Management: Implement Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to manage the iterative development and delivery of AI solutions. Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure continuous progress and alignment with project goals.
• Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and within allocated funds. Track project expenses and provide regular reports on financial performance.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure AI models and applications are meeting quality standards. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, performance metrics, and risks. Produce project reports, deliverables, and post-project evaluations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, refine project management workflows, and implement best practices to enhance future project deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing complex AI projects, with a track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.
• Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
• Technical Knowledge of AI: Familiarity with AI concepts, machine learning, deep learning, and data science workflows. While you may not be hands-on in coding, you should have a solid understanding of AI methodologies and tools.
• Agile Methodologies: Deep experience with Agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
• Risk & Change Management: Ability to identify risks, manage scope changes, and maintain project momentum even in challenging situations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems, manage trade-offs, and make data-driven decisions.
• Time Management & Multitasking: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and objectives.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification.
• Experience with AI-related tools and platforms, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or cloud-based AI services (AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, etc.).
• Experience with data-driven decision-making and applying analytics to project management processes.
• Background in software development, machine learning, or data science is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, ethical AI standards, and data privacy concerns
