We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Professional Marketing Manager to join our EMEA Acoustic Implants (AI) Product Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and enhancing Cochlear’s relationship and communication with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and supporting the EMEA region in developing the right strategy, tools and materials to maximize commercial success of our acoustic products and services. Together with our AI product managers you will be leading our marketing efforts when it comes to engaging with HCPs, developing integrated professional marketing campaigns, influencing our presence at conferences, gaining deep customer insights, supporting sales teams, engaging with key stakeholders, and driving thought leadership programs. This role is pivotal in enhancing Cochlear's brand presence for healthcare professionals, driving product adoption, and ultimately contributing to our mission to help people hear and be heard.

About the role

Campaign Management

  • Build a fully integrated EMEA professional marketing campaign strategy in strong alignment with the EMEA product managers and countries as well as global key stakeholders for the Acoustic Implant portfolio

  • Plan and execute EMEA professional marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, conferences, scientific events, and trade journals together with key internal stakeholders.

  • Establish a professional lead management program in partnership with countries, global, sales excellence, digital marketing, and analytics teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the AI field and build and/or further strengthen relationships with KOLs across EMEA to foster awareness, trial, utilization, and advocacy for our solutions.

  • Understand the needs, preferences, and challenges of these stakeholders to inform and optimize actionable marketing engagement strategies.

  • Develop in alignment with key internal stakeholders (e.g. clinical team, market access, Cochlear Academy…) customized engagement plans for KOLs as well as thought leadership initiatives (also incl. educational events, webinars, publications, advisory boards,…)

Performance Analysis               

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics related to marketing engagement initiatives, including ROI, market share, and customer engagement.

  • Leverage data-driven insights to refine and optimize marketing strategies, driving continuous improvement.

  • Utilize Salesforce as one source for tracking, focusing on vetting/qualifying leads, providing regular updates for process improvements, and campaign success metrics.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree – in business, science, medical or related field.

  • Work Experience:

    • Min. 5+ years total work experience (post-degree / excluding internships) in marketing, KOL management, product management or campaign management ideally in Pharma / Life-Science or other highly regulated environment

    • Experience working across the EMEA region, demonstrating an understanding of the diverse cultures, market dynamics, regulatory environments, and healthcare systems within these territories.

    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns for medical device products on a regional or global scale.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade diverse audiences.

  • Experience in grasping highly complex or technically demanding topics and making them accessible for a wider audience

  • Good Project management experience and skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Creative, analytical, and strategic thinker, with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and team player, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, proficiency in SFHC is an advantage.

  • Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EMEA region is highly beneficial.

  • This role requires frequent travelling in the EMEA region (up to 40-50%)

  • Ability and willingness to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and adjust own communication style accordingly

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the medical device industry, market dynamics, customer segments, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.

  • Ability to identify solutions and challenge the status quo to deliver creative solutions.

  • Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with KOLs, establish professional relationships, and communicate openly within external partners, internal departments and cross‐functional teams.
