Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Trust and Safety, policy, business strategy, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD.
  • Experience working in close partnerships with teams developing or training Generative AI products and models.
  • Experience with development or maintenance of policy and identifying associated risks.
  • Understanding of Non-technical AI systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive change at all levels of the organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify and scope novel, cross-cutting AI risks and opportunities arising as new AI capabilities are deployed in Google’s products and applications. 
  • Partner with other experts across Google and Google DeepMind to develop and implement related strategies and action plans. 
  • Drive reviews and communications to executive leadership and product area stakeholders.
  • Develop relationships with cross functional partners to ensure consistent alignment and communications.
  • This role will work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.
