We are looking for a skilled Mechatronics or Hardware Engineer (Junior or Mid-Level) to help us design and maintain cutting-edge custom hardware for data collection within R&D projects in the automotive industry.

Please note that this position requires some physical presence in our Warsaw office and research sites as well as some business trips in Poland.

What you will do:

  • Participate in dataset collection projects in a technical engineering role.
  • Support deploying custom hardware for automotive R&D projects.
  • Test and deploy hardware and software for automotive hardware projects.
  • Conduct research and technical work in automotive domain.
  • Technical support in both laboratory simulator and naturalistic, in-car data collection campaigns.
  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues.

Requirements

  • BSc or last year student in relevant engineering fields (Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, etc.)
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role, preferably in automotive sector
  • Understanding of hardware requirements i automotive electrical systems
  • Experience with laboratory equipment (soldering iron, multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.) and CAD tools
  • Manual skills for installing research equipment
  • Basic familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Batch)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, learning and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in Polish and English languages (min. C1)

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Professional experience in using Python and C/C++
  • Experience in working with Linux (we use Ubuntu 20), as well as with Windows from engineering perspective
  • Understanding of automotive sensors, especially camera-based systems
  • Understanding of modern communication protocols and technology used in automotive sector
  • Understanding of research processes and scientific method
  • German language
