Overview of the role: The Marketing Lead is the counterpart to the Head of Sales for the North America region, responsible for the strategy, planning, management and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and social channels, events, and content, with a focus on the North American region. They work with the wider marketing team to communicate local, regional needs into campaigns from inception through planning, build, delivery, launch, optimisation, and reporting. They act as a key business partner to the regional Go To Market (GTM) function to communicate campaign plans and effectiveness, and ensure alignment with the sales teams, build relationships with key partners and influencers in the market. The Marketing Lead designs and implements processes to ensure the smooth running of campaigns, and works with the Head of Digital to track their effectiveness, this will extend beyond only local campaigns. They work with the other marketing leaders to ensure campaigns are localised and aligned to the regional GTM strategy. They work with the Head of Content to implement content into campaigns at the right stage of the buyers’ journey, and they brief them on content requirements for their campaigns. They work with the Head of Product Marketing to ensure that the correct target accounts and right personas are targeted with the right value propositions within the campaign. They work with the CMO to ensure that regional needs can be accommodated within the marketing budget, and with finance business partners to forecast, commit, and spend budget within our finance processes. They work with the Partnerships Operations Manager and regional GTM team to develop co-marketing activities with key regional partners, including events and content. They work with the Customer Success teams and customer marketing lead to define the local customer marketing approach, including campaigns, user groups, and strategic client council events.
What you'll be doing: Marketing Lead - North America
- Develop the North American marketing strategy, manage the budget for the region.
- Be accountable for the on-time launch of campaigns aligned to the GTM strategy.
- Develop, build, launch and optimise campaigns regional campaigns and events.
- Enable the North American GTM team with campaign briefings.
- Ensure all campaign documentation is accurate and available to the North American GTM team, including results dashboards.
- Track and meet KPIs on campaign effectiveness and contribute towards departmental goals for pipeline and revenue impact. Deliver regular updates on these to the GTM leadership.
- Ensure campaigns are persona-relevant and value-based to helps drive demand generation.
- Integrate all marketing activity in campaigns, including events and social media, to drive maximum benefit from marketing spend.
- Develop campaign frameworks and teach best-practice within the marketing team to ensure consistency.
- Work with the Customer Success team to identify white space opportunities and develop cross-sell campaigns.
Do you have what it takes:
Knowledge/experience:
- Experience as a senior North America marketing executive or manager for a global organisation, working in a global team to deliver campaigns adapted to local market needs.
- Experience planning and executing tradeshow presence/sponsorship and owned events.
- Highly organised and able to use project management tools to plan and manage campaigns
- Experience using marketing automation platforms to build and track campaigns.
- Able to prioritise and manage workload across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Positive attitude to working in a fast-paced environment, innovating to overcome challenges.
- Working to a local campaign budget, researching and recommending campaign spend, tracking ROI.
Skills:
- Marketing automation systems, ideally Hubspot
- Project management tools, ideally Monday.com
- Social media management, ideally HubSpot
