AltScore is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Finance Director to join our dynamic and fast-growing SaaS company. As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of the company, directly supporting the COO in driving financial performance and ensuring sustainable growth. You will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management, with a strong focus on optimizing profitability and supporting our rapid expansion.

Responsibilities ✔️

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to provide actionable insights to the COO and executive team.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation to ensure the company's financial stability and support growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to develop and execute strategies that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Partner with the COO to develop and present financial reports and analyses to the Board of Directors and investors.
  • Work CDMX hours and maintain regular communication with the team.
  • Perform other day-to-day responsibilities as needed, adapting to the dynamic nature of the role and contributing to the overall success of the company.

  • Develop and maintain financial models tailored for a Series A company, focusing on revenue growth, cost management, and cash flow optimization.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage the company’s cash flow and working capital, with a focus on ensuring liquidity to support ongoing operations and growth initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor hedging strategies to manage exposure to debt and foreign exchange (forex) risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability in international markets.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support the company’s growth objectives, including capital allocation, cost controls, and margin optimization.
  • Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to refine the financial strategy, including fundraising efforts and investor relations.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the Board of Directors and investors, providing clear insights into the company’s financial health and performance.
  • Work CDMX hours and maintain regular communication with the team.
  • Perform other day-to-day responsibilities as needed, adapting to the dynamic nature of the role and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and key financial metrics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems; familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar tools is a plus.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. (Prior experience in a start-up environment is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.

  • Base Salary: $80k - $120k USD per year, depending on experience and role.
