AI Data Product Manager

Fitch Group is currently seeking an AI data product manager to join the Chief Data Office (CDO) in our New York or London office.

As part of a multi-year strategy to leverage data for innovation and growth, this role is pivotal in accelerating our enterprise data initiatives across data operations, analytics, governance, and more. Reporting to the Head of Data Strategy & Programs, you will apply your AI expertise to accelerate and scale CDO efforts to transform how we utilize data at Fitch. You will serve as the AI subject matter expert within the CDO, provide strategic input into our data strategy, drive requirements for AI-ready data, and collaborate across data and technology teams to leverage AI within our CDO programs.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Serve as the AI subject matter expert within the CDO, staying current on AI trends and integrating insights into our data strategy, ensuring alignment with the Emerging Technology team’s capabilities and goals.
  • Develop and articulate a clear strategy and roadmap for integrating AI into existing data programs to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work closely with teams across CDO, Emerging Technology, Software Office and corresponding business AI teams (e.g., Ratings) to develop and implement AI-driven enhancements that accelerate or scale data initiatives.
  • Drive requirements for AI-ready data, ensuring datasets are prepared for AI use cases and models.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AI-related inquiries and issues within data programs.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and machine learning to improve data quality, data governance, and data analytics processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to preprocess and analyze large internal datasets.
  • Design effective processes that support new data product innovation and development.
  • Manage external vendors to deliver optimal AI solutions.
  • Experiment with cutting-edge technologies to innovate and improve internal data processes.

What You Need to Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree, plus 7-10 years of relevant experience, with the last 2-3 years primarily focused on AI/ML.
  • Passion for data, emerging technology, statistics, analytics, and related topics.
  • Impeccable command of English with excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience working with AI and machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Strong understanding of ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Master’s or additional coursework in data science, AI, or related fields.
  • AI expertise in the context of data/CDO initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data technologies and platforms.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for AI model deployment.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
  • Experience in financial services.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay salary range for this role $170,000 - $190,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
