This Trial Operations Analytics Senior Data Scientist role is an exciting opportunity to channel your passion for Innovation in the field of Statistics and Data Science to help shape the future of the Global Clinical Operations function and transform the way in which GSK uses data and quantitative thinking to drive decision-making in R&D.
Global Clinical Operations is the single-largest functional group with the GSK Development organization, numbering approx. 2000 permanent people in the US, UK, Europe and India. Our work ensures that best and emerging practices for human subject research planning and execution are at the heart of R&D decision-making and enables scientists to make timely, data-driven choices about which potential new medicines and vaccines are most promising to add value for patients – ultimately making the development process more efficient and maximising success. We are investing in growing our cutting-edge trial operational analytics capabilities by expanding the Digital, Analytics, and Performance team.
An ideal candidate for this position is passionate in the application of advanced analytics and data science to address varied business problems. You will need to have a strong grounding in R and/or python and have experience of leading value delivery through simple predictive modelling, tools and applications. You will operate in matrix teams on a wide range of projects using agile ways of working collaboratively with other colleagues in Global Clinical Operations and partners from the wider Biostatistics, Data Science and R&D community.

This role will have two key responsibilities - solving business problem statements through execution of ad hoc analyses and building / maintaining data science solutions to be embedded as features into analytics products in support of better planning and monitoring of GSK’s clinical trials.
