 The Group

Advanced Sensor Group develops multi-disciplinary and cutting-edge algorithms across multiple domains. We design algorithms to solve novel problems in future sensors which are still in the prototype stage and apply them to solve real world challenges. Our work influences the technology which will be used in billions of consumer devices in the near future.

 What will you do?

In this role, you will play a key part in developing technology using machine learning and classical techniques. You will collaborate with algorithm developers and engineers with field experiments throughout the sensor development lifecycle. Your work will involve measuring and leveraging physical phenomena to enhance image quality. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing data.
  • Evaluating and optimizing models and algorithms.
  • Integrating current research with engineering practices

Requirements

  • M.Sc./Ph.D. student in STEM with at least 3 semesters left until graduation.
  • Knowledge in machine/deep learning concepts.
  • Self-learning ability and independence with varied work tasks.
  • Python or other high-level programming language experience.
  • Good presentation and communication skill set.
  • Available for 60% position (3 days a week).
  • Fluent in English.

Advantage

  • Experience in ML/DL projects, preferably vision oriented
  • Understanding in physics and optics
  • Knowledge in software automation
  • Experience with multiple programming environments (conda, git, pip).
