Computer Science / Data Science Lead

Venesco is seeking a Computer Science / Data Science Lead to support DASA(DES) JPEO CBRND TGL 35. The US Army Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO CBRND) Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) is seeking four motivated and flexible Developers. We are looking for individuals with backgrounds in Computer Science or Data Science who are passionate about leveraging technology to support mission critical defense operations.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in an applicable field plus one full academic year of graduate education in the specialized field;
• or, a bachelor's degree in a specialized field plus 2 years of applicable experience;
• or, a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 3 years of specialized experience
• Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience with Qlik or other data visualization tools is highly desirable. 
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in Defense sector
