POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Data Scientist at Checkers and Rally’s  Drive-In Restaurants will support the development of analytics across the Marketing practice to help solve business prblems using advanced programming languages, data intgegration and statistical techniques.  This role will utilize statistical modeling solutions to forecast potential new guest acquisition, defection, retention programs and engagement opportunities.  Execute data extraction and manipulation from informatin systems or other data sources to develop strategic methods and concise data mining to deliver actionable insights that help to drive marketing performance and support consumer insights. The right candidate is detail-oriented, has outstanding analytical skills, can manage different projects, and support CDP data integration to develop marketing insights and business metrics.

ROLE

  • Generate data-driven insights through partnership and collaboration with business leaders and other subject matter experts.
  • Provide technical leadership for marketing analytics projects and support the integration of data into CDP and the creation of actionable insights.
  • Organize and lead the aggregation of large amounts of data, establish processes based on industry best practice for data governance and data integrity, and perform data audits as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage key strategic initiatives related to the development, data integration and delivery of analytical solutions.
  • Build analytic models and tools, and perform strategic analysis (descriptive statistics, segmentation, trend analysis, forecasting, regression analysis etc.)
  • Utilize analytics to inform and optimize decisioning logic for personalized offers, product recommendations, and content across web, app, email, social, and in-store channels.
  • Support CRM strategies by using methodolgies/systems such as client profiling, and behaviour analysisfor strategy development and impact assessment.  
  • Identify opportunities and creative solutions to deliver business value through people analytics via active dialogue and engagement with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Present, explain and discuss results of associated with marketing analyses concisely and effectively to drive fact-based decision making at all levels within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, Masters is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytics role, preferably within a marketing personalization context. Experience with data analytics tools/languages such as SQL, Python, R, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, etc.
  • 2+ years’ experience using NodeJS, .Net core/C# in an Azure environment to help integrate various third-party data sources (e.g. OlO, Paytronix, Mobivity).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making. Advanced knowledge of web technologies, cookies, martech AdTech ecosystems an added advantage.
  • Previous work with CDPs, marketing automation, and omni-channel campaign management platforms.
  • Experience working with A/B testing tools and recommendation personalization engines.
  • Demonstrated expertise utilizing data analysis/visualization to identify key insights & solve business problems.
  • Storyteller with strong communication and writing skills.
  • Effective time-management, and able to simultaneously support multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with other departments and vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with other departments and vendors.
