The Customer Success AI Strategy Manager will be at the forefront of reimagining Customer Success at Hover through the lens of AI. If we were starting from scratch, what are the AI motions and what are the human motions that lead to the best customer experience?

This role is responsible for integrating AI-driven automation and human-led interactions to create a scalable, intelligent post-sales system that enhances both customer engagement and internal efficiency. The ideal candidate will leverage AI and automation to drive revenue growth and cost efficiency, ensuring we scale without adding unnecessary headcount.

You will contribute by: 

Your work will fall into two key buckets:

  1. Making Revolutionary Changes to Post-Sales at Hover
    • Example: Every user with a failed job receives a proactive AI-driven call; if the issue requires escalation, it is routed to the right human instantly.
    • Objective: Improve customer retention, engagement, and resolution speed through intelligent automation.

  2. Making Our Employees More Efficient
    • Example: Implement AI-powered features within Intercom, Catalyst, Gong, Salesforce, and other platforms to help employees work smarter and faster.
    • Objective: Enable Hover’s Customer Success organization—which includes Customer Support, Customer Onboarding, Customer Success, Customer Experience, and Sales Engineering—to be more productive and impactful through AI-driven automation.

This person will be a trailblazer in AI-powered customer engagement, continuously experimenting, iterating, and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions.

Your background includes:  

  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, AI-powered automation, RevOps, or Program Management.
  • 3+ years of experience using basic scripting or programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to create customer automations and enhance AI integrations.
  • 3+ years of experience automating repetitive tasks by writing scripts or leveraging low-code/no-code automation platforms like Zapier, while knowing when custom development is needed for more complex integrations.
  • 1+ year of experience building out AI-powered automation in Customer Success, Sales, or Support functions.
  •  Expertise in workflow automation tools (Zapier, Workato, AI-driven CRM integrations).
  •  Experience optimizing Intercom, Catalyst, Gong, Salesforce, or similar customer engagement platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for leveraging AI to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we expect that all employees living within a 50-mile radius of our offices will come into their local Hover office at least three times a week to build rapport and foster organic connection. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is  $137,000 - $156,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
