As AI adoption accelerates, we are scaling rapidly and seeking a strategic, results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to elevate our brand, define our market category, and drive revenue growth through world-class marketing. This is a high-impact, executive-level leadership role ideal for a growth-oriented marketing executive who thrives in B2B services and understands how to position a company as an industry leader while building a scalable demand generation engine. The CMO will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing strategy that fuels growth, establishes category leadership, and generates pipeline for AI consulting services. As a key member of the leadership team, the CMO will partner closely with sales, product, delivery, and leadership to ensure marketing is a core revenue driver for the business. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in demand generation, enterprise B2B marketing, and category creation, as well as a strong leadership presence to influence executive and board-level discussions. This leader will also play a mentorship role, helping develop our entire team to play a role in marketing excellence.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Defining and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with KUNGFU.AI’s growth objectives and revenue goals
Partnering with the leadership team to position marketing as a core growth driver and elevating its strategic importance in business decisions
Building and leading a high-performing marketing team, including hiring key roles and mentoring existing leadership
Serving as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing insights on market positioning, customer acquisition, and category trends
Establishing KUNGFU.AI as the leading AI consulting firm through thought leadership, content strategy, and strategic communications
Developing and executing category creation initiatives that differentiate KUNGFU.AI in the AI services market
Expanding the company’s presence at key industry events, conferences, and media outlets to build market authority
Building relationships with industry analysts, media, and influencers to solidify KUNGFU.AI’s market position
Owning pipeline generation, developing multi-channel demand generation programs that drive revenue and sales enablement
Optimizing and scaling ABM (Account-Based Marketing), SEO, paid media, email marketing, and content-driven lead generation
Leveraging AI-driven marketing technologies to enhance targeting, personalization, and conversion rates
Defining and tracking key marketing performance metrics (ROI, attribution, pipeline impact) with a focus on measurable growth
Developing and refining marketing strategies that support enterprise and mid-market sales cycles. You’ll be working closely with sales to align on messaging and execution
Building a sales enablement function that equips client partners with high-impact content, case studies, and messaging frameworks
Strengthening partner marketing and strategic alliances, expanding the firm’s market reach through co-branded campaigns and ecosystem partnerships
Advocating for resources required to achieve outlined marketing KPIs
Acting as a mentor and coach to the existing marketing team
Creating an environment that fosters innovation, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making in marketing execution
Leading by example, ensuring a collaborative and growth-oriented culture within the marketing organization
Here's what we're looking for:
15+ years of marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a VP or CMO role at a B2B services, consulting, or technology company
Experience in category creation and thought leadership, successfully positioning a company as a dominant player in its space
A proven track record in scaling demand generation, pipeline growth, and revenue impact through marketing
Deep expertise in enterprise B2B marketing, ABM, and sales enablement—especially in complex, high-value deal environments
Someone with strong executive presence and board-level communication skills, with the ability to influence leadership, investors, and enterprise buyers
A storied history of mentoring and developing marketing leaders, fostering a high-performance, scalable marketing function
Experience marketing AI, ML, or data-driven technology solutions is a strong plus but not required
An individual who can be strategic and hands-on, loves being in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys working with cross-functional leadership to get things done, can tell a lot of stories about how data has informed their decision making, understands the importance of growing those around them, and is excited about the impact of AI
