Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, training, and support to maximize potential.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, implementing processes and tools to track and optimize sales performance.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Engage with top-tier clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work closely with other executives and departments (e.g., Marketing, Product, Engineering) to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports and insights to the executive team using data-driven approaches for informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an early-stage tech startup, preferably in enterprise hardware/software or SaaS.
  • Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with demonstrated success in building and scaling sales teams.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • Ability to think both systematically and adaptively.

  • High level of honesty and exceptional articulation skills.
  • Proficiency in handling diverse communication styles.
  • Demonstrates thorough preparation and understanding of the company.

  • Proficient in gathering necessary information for decision-making, running effective staff meetings, managing actions and promises, and systematically gaining knowledge about the organization, customers, and market.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the business and technical sales processes, with the ability to enforce and ensure team adherence.
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective sales training programs, including detailed process and product training with supporting materials.
