Job Description

Your contribution to something big:  

• Leading a team of 6 engineers working across two AI projects, with varying levels of expertise and backgrounds.

• Understanding the business context driving stakeholder needs, manage their expectations and derive technical workpackages to be developed.

• Supporting the team designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud environments and components for IoT and MLOps systems.

• By making and defending technical decisions supported on relevant technical and domain knowledge, best practices, and international norms & standards.

• Ensuring quality assurance and compliance is always present, be responsible, pro-active and understand not only the system at a high level, but also the details of the critical system components.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or similar, and have a background in Cloud, Machine Learning or Software Engineering.
•  More than 3 years of experience working with public clouds, preferably AWS and Azure. 
• Experience with ML development workflows, and how to implement MLOps tooling to improve the model lifecycle. International experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of SW Architecture and SW Design Patterns, Cloud Architecture, and hold relevant certification in the area.
• Solid knowledge of SW Engineering best practices and standards (SOLID, ISO25010) and apply them in your development activities.
• Experience with Python and relevant ML/DS frameworks e.g., pytest, pandas, numpy and pandas, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and version control technologies, preferably Terraform, GitHub Actions and Git.
• Natural communicator, with written and verbal proficiency in Portuguese and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
• Logical thinker with a positive attitude and a continuous learning mindset, with a drive to improve processes and help others.
• Good leadership skills, initiative, creativity, costs awareness and sense of responsibility and commitment.
