System Engineer/Architect, Senior Job Description: This position is for an experienced Systems Engineer/Architect to perform system design requirements analysis. The selected candidate will provide systems engineering design and analysis support to complex systems. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. System Engineer/Architect, Senior Required Tasks: · Requirements development, risk management, trade studies and interface development. · Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer/product requirements into a total system solution adhering to technical, schedule and cost imperatives. · Perform functional analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definitions to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. System Engineer/Architect, Senior Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 or more years of professional experience; or 18 years with a related master’s degree, or 15 years with a related PhD degree. Viewed as the most senior authority in discipline. · Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen. · Experience with the following: oSystem Engineering processes and system architecture principles throughout development program life cycle activities. oRequirements management experience include eliciting, capturing, developing, linking, tracing, decomposing and evaluation of system and subsystem requirements. oInterface Control Document (ICD), Interface Requirement Specification (IRS) and Interface Design Document (IDD) development.
