  • Optimize frontend performance by implementing best practices, monitoring key metrics, and improving page speed and application responsiveness.
  • Develop and maintain frontend platform tools and libraries to streamline engineering efforts and reduce duplication.
  • Implement monitoring and observability solutions to track frontend performance, errors, and user experience issues.
  • Ensure best practices in frontend architecture, modularization, and maintainability across our codebase.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive adoption of infrastructure improvements and provide guidance on frontend best practices.
  • Evaluate and integrate new frontend technologies to enhance our stack and improve developer productivity.

Requirements

  • Experience working in frontend infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related role in a SaaS or product-driven company.
  • Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Esbuild, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of CSS architecture and component-based design (e.g., Design Systems, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS).
  • Proficiency in performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, caching strategies, etc.).
  • Experience with frontend monitoring tools (Sentry, Datadog, New Relic, etc.) and logging/debugging strategies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and frontend automation to improve deployment and testing workflows.
  • Passion for developer experience (DX) and creating tools that enhance productivity and code quality.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and advocate for frontend infrastructure best practices.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with WebAssembly, Electron.
  • Knowledge of Web Performance APIs, Lighthouse, or RUM monitoring.
  • Contributions to open-source frontend tooling or frameworks.
