This role will serve as the primary engineering point of contact, ensuring smooth production by addressing technical questions, resolving issues, and implementing necessary product modifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and product design, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. *This position requires 50% travel to India, all applicants must be amenable to this requirement*
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide technical support to the India facility, addressing engineering questions and production challenges.
- Implement product modifications to enhance manufacturability and resolve sustainment issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production ramp-up and ongoing operations.
- Identify and drive process improvements to optimize efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Serve as a key liaison between design, engineering, and production teams to ensure alignment on technical decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in sustainment, manufacturing, or product engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in resolving production and design-related issues.
- Ability to work across time zones and communicate effectively with global teams.
- Experience with CAD software and engineering change management processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting international manufacturing facilities, particularly in India.
- Knowledge of aerospace or high-complexity mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for managing engineering changes.
- Hands-on experience with production processes such as machining, composites, or welding.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
