Meet the team: 

The System V&V team is responsible for defining and implementing an effective and efficient test strategy. We are accountable for system and sub-system verification which includes test case development, post processing and reporting. We engage with various stakeholders from systems engineering & software development to virtual & physical testing to ensure a consistent verification & validation workflow. We develop concepts to implement and scale test methods such as scenario-based testing to support our overall verification and validation strategy.

What you’ll do: 

As part of the test strategy team, you’ll define and implement our strategy around the Hardware-in-the-Loop test platforms. You will work with various teams to design, build, and maintain our HiL infrastructure as well as specify, implement, execute, and evaluate the tests in those environments.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field and 6+ years of experience OR a Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of HIL (Hardware in Loop) simulation, including the design, setup, and maintenance of HIL test benches.
  • Understanding of Autonomous Driving technologies, including sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras), perception algorithms, sensor fusion, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Proven experience with HIL testing environments such as dSPACE, National Instruments (NI), Vector, or similar platforms, and ability to apply that knowledge to help support integration of in-house HIL benches
  • Knowledge of integrating complex systems in a HIL environment and conducting verification and validation (V&V) tests in compliance with safety standards such as ISO 26262,
  • Proficiency in ROS/ROS2, including setting up ROS environments, developing custom nodes, and creating ROS-based applications for autonomous vehicle testing and simulation
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 communication protocols (topics, services, actions), and expertise in using ROS tools like rviz, rosbag, and advanced debugging tools for system monitoring and diagnostics · Ability to create detailed test cases based on functional and safety requirements, and execute comprehensive test campaigns in a HIL environment · Ability to develop custom test scripts and automation frameworks for HIL testing. · Knowledge of CAN (Controller Area Network) bus protocols and experience with CAN tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar tools
  • Extensive experience in integrating diverse hardware and software components into a cohesive HIL system, including managing interfaces, data flows, and synchronization between different subsystems
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document test procedures, bugs and results
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system engineers, and test engineers, to enhance the quality of HIL benches to integrate new Autonomous Driving SW features seamlessly

  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Experience in adapting quickly to changes in a dynamic work environment and prioritizing the tasks accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document test procedures and results
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with engineers from different disciplines
  • Attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and validation of systems
  • Experience in managing testing projects, including defining test plans, executing tests, and reporting results
