Job Overview Summary  

The Sr Product Manager – AI & Data will play a critical role in executing Advarra’s AI and data-driven product strategy, focusing on clinical data management, real-world data (RWD), AI-powered protocol optimization, and trial execution analytics. Reporting to the SVP, AI & Data Products, this role will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making in product development, ensuring features are validated through analytics, A/B testing, and operational insights. 

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in product management, AI/ML applications, and clinical trial technology, with the ability to collaborate closely with data science, engineering, and business stakeholders. This role will help define what to build and why, leveraging real-world evidence, predictive analytics, and AI-driven automation to improve trial efficiency and patient outcomes. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Data-Driven Product Development & Strategy Execution 
  • Utilize data analytics and market research to identify product opportunities and answer what to build and why in AI-powered clinical trial solutions. 
  • Develop product hypotheses, conduct A/B testing, and analyze results to validate and optimize features. 
  • Define and track KPIs for AI & data products, ensuring adoption, engagement, and business impact align with strategic objectives. 
  • Implement a data flywheel approach, leveraging trial data to continuously enhance study design, site selection, and operational efficiency. 
  • Clinical Data, AI, & Real-World Data Applications 
  • Work closely with data science teams to develop and refine AI/ML models for protocol complexity assessment, site feasibility, risk-based monitoring, and patient burden prediction. 
  • Support the integration of structured and unstructured clinical data from EDC, CTMS, and real-world data sources (EHR, claims, registries). 
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure scalable, regulatory-compliant data pipelines and AI-powered automation that enhance clinical trial analytics and decision support. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement & AI Product Communication 
  • Partner with data science and AI stakeholders, ensuring alignment between AI capabilities and product needs. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the data science user journey, ensuring our solutions cater to data analysts, AI researchers, and clinical experts. 
  • Effectively communicate complex AI/ML concepts to business stakeholders and vice versa, ensuring cross-functional alignment. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, sponsors, and CROs, helping them understand how AI-driven insights can optimize trial execution and study design. 
  • Iterative Product Development & Execution 
  • Drive agile, iterative product development, refining AI models and analytics tools based on real-world validation and user feedback. 
  • Work closely with the SVP, AI & Data Products to execute a long-term strategy that integrates AI-powered insights across clinical trial workflows. 
  • Partner with commercial and business development teams to ensure adoption and scale of AI-driven clinical trial solutions. 

Location  

This role is open to candidates working remotely in ​the United States. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in AI/ML-driven clinical trial technology, data analytics, or healthcare data platforms. 
  •  Strong analytical skills, with experience in A/B testing, defining KPIs, and using data analytics to drive product decisions. 
  •  Experience with clinical data structures, real-world data integration, and regulatory standards (CDISC, FHIR, HL7, FDA, EMA, ICH-GCP). 
  •  Ability to communicate effectively with data science and AI teams, translating complex machine learning concepts into actionable product strategies. 
  •  Proven track record in iterative product development, driving continuous AI model improvements based on real-world validation.

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience working with EHR, claims, and real-world data sources for clinical trial optimization. 
  • Knowledge of AI-driven automation, NLP, and predictive analytics in clinical research. 
  • Experience managing large, complex and high-visibility projects.  
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one 
  • A proven ability at presenting to both executive and technical level audiences 

Physical and Mental Requirements 

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation 
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.

The base salary range for this role is $115,900 - $197,100. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
