The Gist…
Our Senior Machine Learning Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced machine learning models and solutions. You will have extensive experience in machine learning, data engineering, and working with large-scale data platforms and cloud services. This position requires a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques, experience with large language models (LLMs), and proficiency with technologies such as Databricks, AWS/Azure, and Hadoop/Cloudera.
What Your Day Might Include…
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to address complex business challenges.
- Create and fine-tune algorithms for various tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, and recommendation systems.
- Develop models leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.
- Build and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Databricks and Hadoop/Cloudera.
- Implement ETL processes to clean, prepare, and transform large datasets for analysis and modeling.
- Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the data lifecycle.
- Deploy and manage machine learning models on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure to enhance the performance and scalability of machine learning solutions.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, cost management, and resource utilization.
- Develop and integrate LLMs to enhance data analysis, natural language understanding, and generation tasks.
- Experiment with and fine-tune pre-trained models to meet specific project requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLM technologies and apply them effectively.
- Collaborate with Data Scientist, Data Engineers, Product Manager and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Continuously monitor the performance of deployed models to ensure they meet business objectives.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and performance tuning to improve model accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
- Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to detect and address potential issues proactively.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, tools, and techniques in machine learning and AI.
- Explore and experiment with new technologies and methodologies to push the boundaries of what is possible.
- Contribute to the company’s intellectual property through patents, publications, and presentations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, algorithms, data pipelines, and other technical processes.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on model performance, project progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in data science and machine learning.
Requirements
You’ll Bring These Qualifications…
- Bachelor’s + 12 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Databricks and experience with developing and managing data workflows.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure.
- Extensive knowledge of Hadoop/Cloudera and experience in big data processing.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and other modern AI technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD practices for machine learning.
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex projects independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
