A Sr. Data Scientist in this group will help guide the creation, installation, and support the data analysis and development of machine learning models for our attractions. We work closely with internal partners to deliver world-class guest experiences with interactive & data systems across DX. You will be reporting to the Attractions Operational Technology organization.
This is a full time role.
Collaborating with business partners to translate predictive insights into actionable recommendations and strategic initiatives.
Conducting advanced data analysis, modeling, and experimentation to derive actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.
Applying data science techniques, tools, and technologies to solve complex problems optimally.
Developing and deploying predictive models to forecast future trends, behavior, or outcomes based on historical data in the attraction space.
Evaluating model performance and refining algorithms to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
Using cross validation techniques to validate accuracy and adaptability of models over time.
Regularly evaluating and updating predictive models ensure they remain relevant and effective in dynamic business environments.
2+ year experience or equivalent education with data analytics and modeling tools (i.e., keras, tensor flow, torch, pytorch, sklearn, ml-lib, etc.).
Demonstrable knowledge of forecasting or predictive modeling.
Exposure to cloud computing environment (i.e., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with Python, R, or Scala.
Ability to decompose a complex problem into smaller parts.
Experience with revision control software, such as GitHub and GitLab.
Experience with data visualization and data monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk, Plotly, Tableau).
Experience with SQL databases and complex queries.
Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira & Confluence.
Experience with unit and regression testing.
Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and QA processes.
Experience with Docker.
Experience and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in Airflow or another data workflow management tool.
Experience with Model Ops (model development life cycle).
Ability to explain technical solutions and results.
Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical background.
PREFERRED: Master of Science in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical background.
